  1. A kiwi is a flightless BIRD Apteryx australis 
  2. found only in New Zealand. It has long, 
  3. hairlike brown plumage and a very long beak 
  4. with nostrils at the tip. It is nocturnal and 
  5. insectivorous. The egg is larger in relation 
  6. to the bird's size (similar to a domestic 
  7. chicken) than that of any other bird.
